Something that many people didn’t know about me. I’m not an accidentally here but, it happened through a process. The simplest and yet the most difficult part to change is “The New Way of Thinking”. I’m representing Rumah Warga Prihatin (House for underprivileged people and a research body on human civilization). Now, I’m glad to share to all of you. Bila SN masuk dapur mengooking

Bukan lah saya bertukar profession menjadi seorang chef.

Sampai tersungkur saya masa masak pasal gostan terlanggar kereta 8 tayar beliau.

Hari ni masa ikan kari…nymmmy!

Mula-mula abca bismillah, kemudian sembelih ikan ini sampai putus. Saya tak gemar makan kepala ikan sederhana besar macam ni. Samaada makan kepala ikan besar ataupun kepala ikan kecik yg digoreng rangup sahaja. Kalau saiz ni biasa saya jatuh hukum pancung sampai putus.

Percubaan memasak nak buat api menjulang nampaknya tidak kesampaian. Mungkin kurang pakar lagi pasal benda tu, tapi api menjulang tak dapat, asap menjulang pun jadi lah.

Punyalah menjulang-julang asap….baru benda ni jer pun tumis. Sebelum tu tadi tuang air sikit sampai meletup-letup kuali.

Masa untuk memasukkan rempah ratus sebagai menambah aroma dan rasa.

Ni salah satunya lah. Chinese mixed five spices.

Hampir siap kari yang pekat dan melazatkan. Kalau dalam iklan TV tu kalau jiran-jiran terbau siap datang bawak pinggan tunggu luar pagar. Jengah ke luar pagar, takde siapa tunggu. Mungkin masa tu orang semua selsema, kan sekarang musim selsema babi baby itu lah.

Akhirnya, saya sanggup pergi main golf 4 jam daripada duduk kat dapur tak boleh nak stylo-stylo. Respect sama my wife and all suri rumah yang memasak kerana tugas memasak itu bukan mudah. Saya sangat suka memasak tapi saya tak suka kupas bawang, potpong bawang, kupas kentang, basuh pinggan, basuk kuali, periuk dan lain-lain. Saya suka masak dan makan masakan itu sampai licin. Lihat lah budak sihat tu…takpe, ni pun dah turun 10kg, sikit lagi turun 10kg lagi baru hemsem.

SN

Mention sikit…tapi dah ‘seri kembangan” jugak lahh hahahha

Watch this around minute 6. Vernon did mention something and masa tu Erra buat muka pelik (Ooo…tak kenal ekkk). Oke guys…enjoice!

Sam & Diana – Sime Darby Convention Centre

Well, time for some wedding pictures again. This time, from Sime Darby Convention Centre. I’ve been shooting in this hall for about 15-20 times already. It’s a great ballroom for a wedding yet, the lighting is is a bit tricky. Shooting at high ISO to preserve ambient and at the same time to freeze the moment cost me thousand of snaps just for the perfect few hundreds. Alhamdulillah, I managed to do it since the very first time I shoot at this place.

For Sam and Diana, I hope you’ll enjoy watching this entry all the way from your honeymoon place now. And please tell your friends that they can see some highlight of your wedding pictures in my blog. Well, it’s a highlight…which mean, these are not the best 12 I have. It just a simple pick from a bunch of images.

Now…Enjoice!

Meera & Sudheesh – A vibrant Indian wedding

I love Indian wedding simply because of the colours. It’s vibrant and unique through my eyes. Whenever I start to shoot an Indian wedding ceremony, I realize that I shoot most of the things happened in front of my lens. Here, 20 images of an Indian wedding I shoot about few weeks ago. To Meera and Sudesh, wait till I come to Sydney soon…there I can take your “baby photos” 😉

To all the bridesmaids…don’t forget to give me a call once you plan to get married 😉

Recognized by others, unrecognized by our people

Sekadar gambar hiasan yang takde kena mengena.

It would be just a text entry for this today. Let me talk about one of our customers in this post. We shoot for their album cover for one of their albums before. Until now, they still hold the unbreakable most selling album in Malaysia.

Today, I drove my car home. I listened to Radio 24 channel. I heard a familiar voice in there. Che Am spoke his mind about 1 interesting topic. Now, let me ask you. How many of you know about Raihan performed at The Royal Albert Hall in London, and it was a full house of PAID audience which most of them (95% i would say) are Mat Saleh. Again…PAID audiences.

Before this, We, Malaysian were proud for having a concert done there before under a name of a diva (Cik SIti kita). A lot of my friends was there too. Most of them took the advantage of being the last minute, so they’ll get FREE ticket (in order to make the hall looks so full with audience).

But it’s different with Raihan, they performed worldwide, in Paris itself….3 times and other places around Europe. Not to extreme if I would say, if you ask Muslim in Europe about Malaysia, they’ll describe it as…

  1. Dr. Mahathir
  2. Raihan
  3. Petronas Tower

I’m proud of them. I’m not promoting nasyed since I’m never been a fan of any nashid song. But I really appreciate people who love arts and sincere in what they are doing. Che Am told the radio, ever since, they never get ANY (I repeat…ANY) assistance from government, private and sponsor body to bring them to the west. Most of the time, they live with the concert ticket, performance payment and royalty. It’s not about the assistance that matter…but the perseverance. He said…”Taknak tolong takpe, kita jalan lah sendiri, cuma kalau ada orang support…laju sikit lah jalannya. Habis tu, takkan orang tak tolong kita nak menyerah kalah”. I love this spirit. That’s the spirit that brought them up until now.

Is there anything in common with me?

Yes…many things! we started an odd trends that finally became a phenomena. We never been supported by any body from government, private or rich people. We just do it all with our blood, sweat and tears. Yes, by blood…sweat and tears. It didn’t come easy and flawless. It was a bumpy road all the way before we can finally took-off now. I still remember how my RP (Business Plan / Rancangan Perniagaan) got rejected a few times by a body that called themselves enterpreneur helpers. I was down but I believe, there are more than one way to do anything. That’s where…the potential of my brain has been fully utilized to find the way how to start the ball rolling.

I still remember, the time my friends shopping with their silver colour plastic, i was so impressed and I applied for one and got rejected within 24 hours (and I can’t apply for the next 6 months). Woww!! they were really fast. Now, the same bank offering the gold or even Platinum pre-approved credit card and all they need is my “Yes”. No more J-Form, income statements, bank statement 3 bulan on top of my IC lah. Anyway, I’m happy to live with only a single Credit Card that I treat it just like a charge card…spend today, pay end of the month.

I believe, Raihan faced the hardtime during their start-up period. Eventually, they are now…a famous artist worldwide. Internationally, his album sold many folds more than Datin Seri Siti’s album. The reason why I wrote this note is simple…be different and be tough in achieving your goal. Success doesn’t come easy. Think like no others, then you’ll be there.

Summer in Europe

Still in some travel photo mood right now. I think it’s due to a hectic traveling quarter for this year. I’m cumulating many flight hours in these few months until November. I would love to meet-up with those people living in Perth after Raya. Tentatively, I’ll be arrive there by 2nd day of Raya. I wish to meet-up with as much as possible people in there, visiting their house and family. Just like the tradition of visiting neighbor, friends and relatives in Malaysia. Intan, Orked and I is planning to go downsouth for this raya. There are few purposes for the visit and one of them is for my photomama.TV shootings, some photographic experiments as well as a family 2nd trip. This time, Intan will become the cameraman and Orked will be the photomama model. Just like what we did in Europe until I can produce few episodes of photomama for the subscribers to see and learn the tips through the video.

Ok, Enjoice!

Orked in Singapore

Orked portrait. She looked straight at the world largest observation wheel at Raffles Ave. Singapore. She was so excited to see thing from the bird’s eye view. CFO of Colours of Asia S/B had his wedding reception in Ulu Tiram an hour before we arrived in Singapore. Then, we decided to fly at…

The…Singapore Flyer! Weather wasn’t that good during our take-off at this giant wheel. This is one of the view from the top of the wheel. In a clear weather, you can easily see the whole land of Singapore, Johor Bahru and Pulau Batam from the deck. It was awesome!

As what you can see here, Orked was a bit gayat hehehe. She can’t even stand there (of course, she can’t stand without support for more than 5 sec). Mommy was at the back with her D50 camera with D200 strap. She got more picture than me. You can witness it at Orked’s blog (if she already put it up lah)

And here is another one with mummy. Orked was so excited with that amazing experience. Now, Orked passport is officially top-up with another 1 stamp. Btw, it was a really fast trip. I drove into Singapore by 4pm and departed from Singapore by 7pm. This time, it wa a really short trip since I have another commitment in the following day back in KL. As whay you can see now, I’m so tempted in taking photograph of my “babies” (incl. Orked’s mom lah).

Since the last post on Monday (yesterday) about shooting kids, in less than 24 hours after that…. hehehe…surprisingly, I received not less than 15 inquiries / requests from the mothers and (some fathers) about having a session with their family all around Malaysia and 1 from Singapore (TQ) and 1 from Melbourne (woww…I’ll consider this, Melbourne now connected with AirAsia what hehehe). Thanks a lot for that, but as for now, I can only accept 2 photoshoot until September. I’ll be terribly busy and my schedule is really packed with so much things in line (there’ll be only a few weeks in Malaysia before Ramadhan, the rest I’ll be in another part of the globe for photography). Since the requests is mucccchhhh moooore than the slots…let me go through it first (I’ll consider the one that really adventure into any unique ideas…another words, I’ll not shooting it at typical places like Lake Garden and KLCC). For those who can’t get the slot, don’t worry…I probably will offer pre-booked slots for bulan puasa hahhahaha….hmmm…yess, I’m serious 😉
